CPU and MCP Temperature Too Hot?

SO I got this kick @ss motherboard, the XFX nForce 780i, and so far very happy with it. However, I noticed that the temperature is about 50-60 Celsius and the motherboard chipset (MCP) is hovering around 70-80 Celsius. The CPU is an E8500 with stock heatsink/fan and the MCP has a big heatsink on it with an optional fan not mounted cuz the thing is loud, very loud! Many people opted to zip tie a large case fan to it....

The system has not shut itself down so far, so I'm assuming it is ok, but can anyone confirm this is within operating temperatures?

where are you getting these temps from?
software temp readings arenot always 100% accurate.

I got this from the motherboard bios setting under "System Monitor" (I think that is what it is called). My bios is phoenix award....

I'm assuming that means hardware reading.
