Question CPU Air Cooler question

I got two cpu air coolers. One of them is a Noctua nh-u14s and other is Scythe Mugen rev.b. The Scythe was given to me. My case is a Thermaltake C35 which has excellent air flow. Which one would give me the best cooling/lower noise? The noise floor is important. I am a gamer/musician.

I’m no expert but I think the majority of noise will come from your case fans with either choice.
I’ve seen that or a nearly identical case to it with a working system inside at Microcenter. Appeared to be a good, quiet case.

I personally like Noctua coolers, but mirror what Fanatical Meat said.

Your case is an open front mesh, with the entire top open as well. That case was designed for high air flow, and not to be quiet. You're going to hear your case fans unless you run them at a very low RPM.

Thanks for the help guys! I ended up going with the Noctua. Tested both of them. On load you can barely hear the Noctua. I had the case fans turned off. Cooling was about the same on both. I must say Noctua quality is excellent!
