cpu 100% + harddrive

I have a certain AVI file (encoded in DivX) that has 2 problems:

1) When the file is opened to be viewed, it causes explorer.exe to take up 100% cpu, and also the hard drive to be 100% accessed.

2) When attempting to rename the file, Windows will always return the "being used by another program" error, and then explorer.exe will again take 100% cpu power.

I'm running Win XP Pro...

Any solutions for this problem? Is it XP? Is it the file? If so, what can be done to fix it? The file opens up perfectly and plays in WMP....

Thanks.

could be a DMA problem.

make sure it is not in the player while you are tring to name it, remove it from the library and rename from windows explorer!
