cPanel users - how does a client set up an email autoresponder?

I switched my company over to a mail/web server using cPanel 10. I can't figure out how to let the users configure their own auto responder. I can configure it on the server itself, but with our old server, you could set it through Outlook, turn off your computer, and it'd still work. Most of the users have migrated to Thunderbird, btw. So, any ideas on how to set this client-side?
