A friend of mine has a homework that requires a file download. In the homework is says to open a browser and type cp /.../file.txt file.txt to download the file. I left out the location since I cannot remember the exact spot. I've never seen the cp command before. It didn't work in Internet Explorer or in Netscape. I thought maybe it meant ftp instead of cp but that wasn't correct either. Does anybody know what cp stands for and how to use it?

Thanks.
