Cox Premiere: Cisco DPQ3212 or Motorola SB6141?

Synomenon

Lifer
I currently have Cox Premier internet service. They provided me a Cisco DPQ3212 cable modem.

Would it benefit me in any way to change to a Motorola SB6141 cable modem?

From what I can see, they have very similar specs.. Someone is offering me a NIB SB6141 for 1/4 the price on Amazon. Also, it's white while all the pictures I see are of a black model.

Dpq3212 has VoIP with it. I assume you are signed up for cox home phone service?
The sb6141 is not a VoIP modem. It is for Internet only. If you have cox home phone service then the sb6141 is not for you.

Both are 8x4 modems no difference in performance.

Where are you getting the sb6141 for cheap? I'd be interested for 1/4 retail price if not stolen.

I forgot about the phone service with Cox. In that case, I have to stick with the Cisco. A friend works at an electronics store and his discount is really good on those Motorola modems.
