trying to set up some stuff on a friends PC, looking for the COX dns servers, all they tell me is they use DHCP and dns info isn't needed to config it. Maybe I"m stupid but I couldn't find them on google or cox's web page. would anyone happen to know the San Diego CA ones off hand?

thanks

I can't leave it on auto, in order to set up this virtual port I need to set my tcp/ip settings manually, and the 2 dns addresses are needed. Hummm maybe I can find them somewhere, as COX is very Nazi-ish about giving out any information.

Why not just setup DHCP on one computer and then open a command line (type CMD in run)
Then type ipconfig /all
It should list the DNS servers you are using.

Cox tells you the DNS servers when you sign up.

Cox currently hosts Public DNS servers at:
68.2.16.30
68.6.16.30
68.1.208.30

I would tell you the ones I have but I don't think their business DNS addresses are the same as home side of things.
