And he's a man. He has the volume quiet but I can still hear it. I'm not sure what to think, but it's the same station/stuff every day. It goes on all day and I kinda get weirded out... it's like he's playing romantic thoughts in his head all day. I don't want to know what he's thinking about.

He doesn't give a shit what other people think and doesn't reject feminine things just because it makes him manly. He likes what he likes and doesn't give a shit. Props to him.

PETER
Milton? Uh, could you turn that down just a little bit?

MILTON
Uh, they said I could listen to the radio at a reasonable volume from
nine to eleven while I'm collating?.

PETER
But, no, no, no. I know you're allowed to, I was just thinking, like a
personal favor, y'know?

MILTON
I, I told Bill that if Sandra's going to listen to her headphones while
she' working, I can listen to the radio while I'm collating -

PETER
Ok.

MILTON
So I don't see why -

PETER
Ok.

I usually can't respect people who like bad music. A lot of guys at work like bad music. Nickelback and other crap like that. I have learned to respect others music tastes. To each his own. To them some of my music preferences might be crap.

i listen to a bunch of girly 80s songs.. everything soft rock from phil collins to cyndi lauper to paula abdul..... is there something wrong with me?

maybe the music allows him to reminisce/reflect on better times that he had in his life, perhaps?

Hey, I listen to Erasure (can't get any gayer than that) I love them and I am a straight male. I dig Erasure and am secure enough to admit that. I also listen to ABBA. Some real great songs that society considers to be gay or feminine.

mebbe he picked a neutral station that is less likely to offend anyone that walks by. he may have it on just for background noise, not necessarily to listen to. when im at my desk, i listen to my mp3s. people usually walk by my desk and give weird looks, as i have a wide range of music from DI, erasure all the way to ace of bass. multiple weirdness in between as well. the front office has the easy listening station on always, as to not be really noticeable but still be audible.

Nope, that's not it. We're both tucked away and no one walks by. The people that do walk by in the hall wouldn't be able to hear it and wouldn't care. He listens to it when we're in the car too.

This isn't ABBA or any other older, good music... this is newer stuff... like 2002+.

I suspect it's all that keeps him in his "happy place" and I pity the fool that mocks him for it.
