in reality 30-40% of pregnancies end up in miscarriages. most of the time women don't even know it because it's so early in pregnancy they were unaware they were even pregnant.

it sucks big time, my GF had a miscarrage a little under two years ago..she was 4 months pregnant at the time.

now she is 5 and half months pregnant with a baby girl, everything looks like it is on track so hopefully it will all work out.

I woman I worked with miscarried (?) lost her baby at 8 months. Pretty horrible thing.

Miscarriages are the dirty little secret of pregnancy. You never hear about them until you (or more specifically your wife or GF) have one. Then you find out that half the people you know have gone through it.

My grandmother had both a miscarriage and a stillbirth. 🙁

It's a major reason my mother is adopted.

30-40% seems high, but I do know a lot of pregnancies end up like that.
