(hey I gotta get exited about SOMETHING!!)

how does that bode well? Preseason games mean jack. Last year, the steelers didnt score an offensive touchdown the entire preseason under big ben, and look how that turned out.

Once again, Dallas over the Patriots 35-31, and I will bump this thread along with others when terell owens is kissing the trophy and parcells is announcing his retirement.

Colts were 0-5 last year in the preseason, even lost 38-0 to the Bengals...

Preseason means jack.

Of course the Broncos were undeafeted in the preseason, so perhaps the Cowboys will make it to the NFC championship...only to lose like the Broncos did.

Dallas is going all the way this year.

Very likely true ... not because of talent, because it'll make a lot of money for the WWNFL to script things that way!

Are you the same guy who claims Baseball is fixed because of all the walk off homers we have seen this year?

The closest you could come to saying the NFL is fixed is when they changed rules on the 'no huddle' offense right before Cinncinati was to play in the Superbowl. Cinn had used a no huddle hurry up offense all year to keep the defense off guard and the NFL changed the rule stopping them I would say that comes close to fixing the game, or at least putting them a big disadvantage.

Colts lost 8 straight preseason games or something to that extent..yup, preseason means a lot.

Well the Colts have yet to win anything so maybe preseason means something after all.

However, there was a time under Tom Landry that when the Cowboys LOST all their preseason games they would end up going to the Superbowl, I believe this happened 2 or 3 times.

I don't think it matters whether you win or lose preseason games, but whether your coaching staff learns what it needs to learn from the games.

The Cowboys being 3-0 shows that they are already at an advance stage of preperation, just remains to be seen how TO can fit into all of this.

wonder what the odds are that TO won't be in uniform for the last game of the season for 'discipinary' reasons (al la Keyshawn in his 'last' year at Tampa Bay)?

The season hasn't even started and he is already a major distraction...it is funny listing to sound bytes of the Tuna's daily press conferences because it seems that 90% of the questions are related to TO...

he has a nice opportunity to work from a clean slate and he is blowing it big time...

<-- anxiously awaiting more TO fireworks in Big D...

Nope... baseball would be the hardest sport to fix of the big 3 IMO, at least without making it pretty obvious.

I also don't think most games in the NFL are fixed, only select big ones ... last years superbowl really made me care a whole lot less about the NFL & was just the culmination of multiple incidents that have really left me disillusioned, that disgrace of a "Championship game" was the straw that broke my back.

LOL at the irony of your signature.

Get a life, the NFL isn't fixed.

From your lips to gods ears man ... I've been a football fan for 35 years though & a lot of the crap I've seen in the last five really makes me wonder... fixed or not, the game has gone downhill.

Edit: Not to open a can of worms, but the only people I heard say they were happy about last years Superbowl were Steelers fans, then there was the forward lateral for the Titans against the Bills a few years ago & the phantom touchdown by Vinny Testeverde... perhaps "fixed" is a strong word, but biased isn't.

100% agree. There was something off with last years Super Bowl. Too many bad calls that officials, initially, made right. It almost seemed to me like an official would start to make a call, then in the middle of it, change it to a pro-Steelers call. I think the NFL REALY wanted to push the whole Bus retiring and finally winning it all angle.

I can't count the number of bad calls that happened. Also, if you noticed during the commercials (the ones with the players holding the trophy in B&W) 5 of the 6 they showed had a Steeler on them.

From a business angle, there's no doubt that the NFL wanted the Steelers to win; it was a better story. Whether or not that influenced the refs......well, when you call clipping on a tackle, fans wonder.

Oh yeah, I'm a Bucs fan, so neither team was mine, but T.B. got bent over on a bad call in the playoffs too.

Giants won all 3 too. Big flippin' deal.

Cowboys > Giants.

Ummm... I don't think so! 😛
I'd like to see Bledsoe attempt to handle the fearsome passrush the Giants will have this year. And there will be no picking on rookie CB's this year either. 😀

Giants will take the NFC East even with the most brutal schedule in the league.

😀😀😀

I love talking football. I missed this.
