Cowboy, Cowboy... where for art thou, Cowboy?

Well... I've done my best. I've PM'd the Mods - I've appealed to the Admins....

It's NOT MY FAULT that you don't have access yet. Please be patient. We're dealing with humans here.
Here I am begging on bended knee that you don't pull your way-powerful DPAD herd because we can't get you online.

Mods? Admin? WTF over? :|

I've been here longer than most of YOU. Let's get on the stick here!

He's Comcast broadband.

He's been crunchin' for TA for weeks, first SETI, then DPAD and STILL can't post on the forums despite NUMEROUS appeals to mods, mentors, etc.

Mods say they have no record on file for TACowboy. Perhaps that's part of the problem?
Surely we can get it ironed out.

To their credit - the mods were johnny-on-the-spot with a reply to me.

And a follow-up ...

The username was registered in 1999. That's the problem.
You'll need to go with TACowboy (or some other variant) as all usernames must be unique.

The system is behaving exactly as it should.

Thanks Mod!

Interesting in view of the fact the system allowed him to register as "Cowboy" in the first place, and even sent him a "secret decoder ring." Ain't tecknologee wunnerful?

Just another proof that "Private Snuffy" out front, putting rounds on the enemy, is at once the most --- and least --- valuable member of the team. <pondering> Is this what happened to my pay records back in '65???

I'll hold off on celebration, congratulations, etc., until he gets home from work this evening and proves the concept, but Thank You, Dan, for all your efforts on my bud's behalf.

"Gump, I'd recommend you for Officer Candidate School, but it would be such a waste of a damned fine enlisted man."
