Use a $10 off $75 in conjunction w/ the Share the love feature and you got yourself a nice deal. $80 for the boxset.

My friend own the whole thing and I spend about 3 weeks trying to watch it all.. it's very good..

I dont wanna break the story line but, you can relate to the characters, they're all develop pretty well except for one character.. wish there was more..
anyone know ?

The short version is you can't buy the box by itself... unless you want to mess with ebay or something (unless you get real lucky).

This is a great deal - I picked this up for less than $75. Amazon's "Share the love" is a great thing...
($89.01 - $15 email coupon)

FYI, the 3 disk box set is a bootleg. You can find it all over the place, but I'd recommend picking up the real thing if you're a fan. I have no clue what the quality is like but you have to figure you're cutting out 3 dvds, so you're losing something.

Word of warning about the 3 DVD set. It's a bootleg. Apparently it's a really really high quality bootleg (Minor video issues), but a bootleg non-the-less.

That's a damn good price for the 6-DVD set BTW. You can't loose at that price.

hey it this dubbed or subbed? i hated dubbed it makes it sound so bad =(
anyway yeah im wondering for ed's too... and the movie is great also, anywhere to find the movie for cheap?

both, you can do subbed or dubbed. Personally, I think the dubbed version of Bebop is one of the few instances where the dubbing is better than the original with subs. The voices come out perfect. Vicious sounds... well, Viscious, and the translations of a few of the most important lines seems to carry a lot more meaning.

My experience - only in the case of Anime - is that the legitimate USA releases are spread out over far too many DVDs just to drive up the price.

I have two anime sets that I purchased thinking they were legitimate HK all-region releases (but since have been told that they are bootleg). In both cases, the picture quality is identical to the Region 1 releases and yet are fit onto far fewer disks. (Japanese animation is so static that you don't need the same sort of bitrate as Star Wars.)

From what I have heard, the one problems sometimes found on the boots is bad subtitles, ie either bad translation, or they don't fit right. Hence, boots on ebay often use the term "perfect subtitles" to indicate ones that don't have those problems.

In general, I don't like bootlegs because money does not get back to the artists, but I also don't like price gouging either (like the RIAA has done with CD prices over the past 10 years).

I just thought I would pass on this information, so you can make an informed choice. I should point out that I have only viewed Cowboy Bebop on TV, so I have no experience with any released of Cowboy Bebop on DVD, just other anime DVDs.

The bootleg subs are BAD. I've seen a lot of HKDVDs, and they are BAD even for bootleg dvd standards. Its bad to the point that it makes it terribly unenjoyable.

EXACTLY! I'm a BIG anime fan and 99% of the time, I prefer subtitled since the voice actors usually have a better sense of what the characters are trying to say and how to say it. I guess being partially fluent in Japanese helps. But the dubbing in CB is EXCELLENT! I own the whole series on dvd (no bootleg here. for a series as excellent as CB, the real dvd's are worth the purchase).

And if you guys like CB, check out Macross Plus. Same creative team so you know it's gonna be good.

Macross Plus is another excellent series. I didn't like the ending to it all that much, but it was a beautifully done series... it had a very "Top Gun" feel to it.

Bebop will always have a special place in my mind. I watched the entire series thinking it was a "pretty good" anime, and then I saw the last episode. No spoilers here, but I can honestly say, my love for the entire series skyrocketed through the roof, and out of EVERY series I have ever seen, Cowboy Bebop has the best ending.

That's generally true about 95% of the time.

In this case those, there's a CB rip of the 6-disk Perfect Collection. As stated earlier, nearly perfect, but with minor visual blips occasionally. It pays to know which ripping group did it & whose selling it to ensure you get this version (but that's a taboo subject anyways 😀).

I was going to buy that, but since the 6 DVDs are now <$100, I'll be happy to buy the original copies. I can live w/o the DVD case.

I watch bebop's movie first and am very hooked to it, that was almost 2 years ago, couldn't watch the series until my friend found me fansubs online. After i finish the series the only thing i can say about it is that, the authors really got guts to do such thing to their anime in the last episode... knowing that the first bebop I've seen its actually the last just plane suck...

This is a great deal for a great series. The limited box set went for as much as 300+ on ebay. If you're not interested in the box set, this is perfect. Anyone interested in anime should buy or rent this.

How can anyone say the English voice of Faye is anywhere near as good as the original? The dubbing makes her sound like a ditsy cheerleader.
