Coverting Netscape 4.xx bookmarks to work in Netscape 6

My friend wants to use Netscape 6, but he has a lot of bookmarks on Netscape 4.78. Can I just copy the bookmarks.html file from the 4.78 install and overwrite the Netscape 6 bookmark file? I think I tried that once, but it didn't work too well. Can anyone help?

Thanks!

i don't use netscape 6, but i'm sure they are using the same bookmark file and you can simply overwrite the files in netscape 6 directory with the one from netscape 4.78... if that does not work, you can always go to bookmark > manage bookmark > file > import bookmark, and import your old bookmark file from there....

on a side note, i actually suggest you use mozilla instead of netscape 6, since ns6 == mozilla + aol junks
but of course that's just my (and many other people's) opinion....
