The UFC Hall of Famer retained his heavyweight title in a one-sided demolition of highly regarded challenger Gabriel Gonzaga Saturday at UFC 74.
Couture completely dominated Gonzaga, opening a large cut on Gonzaga's nose and pounding him into submission. Referee Herb Dean stopped it at 1:37 of the third round at Mandalay Bay.
