Ok lemme get started with the stupidest one. Everythime i load up my PC it constantly says that my hard drive controllers arent installed properly. I Know there are installed properly because the HDD is not having any problems doing anything. Is there any way to make windows ignore the Erros so the "found new hardware" wizard can stop coming up on start up?

My Hl 2 Problem is that throughout the levels on single player i see a lot of areas that have purple covering certain areas of the game, like where walls should be or where certin objects should be. It dosent affect gameplay it just looks terrible.

My next question is about power supplies in general, lets say i have a PSu thats runs a motherboard below its "neccesary" requirements. Like im currently Running a Motherboard that requires 300W and im using a 250W. Will Cards Like Audio Cards and Modems Shut Down if im using other things that require lots of power like a video card?

Thanks in Advance to anyone who posts Useful comments.

Need more information on your system. Did you try reinstalling or updating the drivers for the controller (or the motherboard, if this is an onboard controller)?

What video card/drivers? Do you have the latest DirectX?

I've never seen a motherboard with power requirements (most pull well under 50W on their own). No, your system will not "shut down" peripherals if you start to overload your PSU -- the whole system will crash.
