Couple P180 questions

Currently building my PC, and I'm almost done all the hardware assembly, but a couple things are stumping me.

I just can't seem to find where the audio mobo connectors that come with the case go on the mobo! Sure, I guess they're only the front two audio ports which I won't be using, but I think they also have the internal case speaker connectors on them (which is important to hear the startup "beeps")? I'm using a P5W DH Deluxe mobo, and it's manual is pretty vague regarding this.

Thanks!

1) plugging the front audio connector is straight forward.. just plug it in. i dont think there's a case speaker connector... there's no case speaker for p180 i believe.

2) use two of the bay mounting rails for your dvd drive. use screws to mount the two rails on the drive one on each side then slide the drive in from the front of the case till it locks.

bay mounting rails

this must be your first antec case LOL

1) Hmm, plug it in where, though? I included the picture of the mobo to hopefully have someone point out where. =P This is now the only thing that is left to be done.

2) Yeah, I came back up here to edit my post because I figured it out (didn't even see the bag of rails heh), then I saw your post.

And yeah, first Antec case. =P

The manual is pretty clear where it's location is, it's the green set of pins on the boards edge near the black pci-e x 16 slot.

Show us the finished product when you get done 🙂

Well, it's all done! Thank you so much for your help. Here's the final product...

Took out the bottom right HD chamber since I'm never going to use it, and it freed up a lot of room for cables and stuff to go in. Speaking of which, yeah, my cable management isn't so hot, but it'll do. I did turned it on for 5 minutes and left all my fans are running on medium, and it was pretty cool afterwards, so I'm happy. Nothing aesthetic, the case will be closed, after all. =P

Final build:

Intel C2D E6600
ASUS P5W DH Deluxe
GameXStream 600W PSU
2x1GB OCZ PC2-6400/DDR2-800
Sapphire X1950XT
Scythe Ninja CPU Fan
Seagate 320GB HD
NEC CD/DVD-ROM/Burner

It took me a long time to clean up the wiring mess in my P180, I think the best place to hide wires is behind the upper HDD tray. You can actually stuff a lot of cables behind there if you remove the little tool box that is attached to the backside of it.

Good to hear you got your rig finished, now enjoy 🙂
