Couple of questions about going to DirectTV

I am about to be switching over to DirectTV and ATT internet probably around the first of the year. Currently I have 1 TV in my living room and 1 TV in my room mates room. Sometime around Christmas or January I plan on purchasing another TV for my bedroom. The TV in the living room is a 720p Hitachi 65" DLP and I have surround sound hooked up. The TV in my roommates room is a 40" Sony Bravia, not sure if it is 720p or 1080p. Then I plan on getting a 720p 40" in my room. Currently only the living room and roommates room has cable wired to it. So when the installer comes will he run cable to my room also?

We are going to be going with the "Choice Xtra" package. It is $34.99/month for the first 12 months. And includes a free advanced reciever. I plan on getting the HD DVR for the living room since that is were the most TV is watched. We then just want the HD receivers in each of the bedrooms. Is there anyway to get a discount on the receivers? I know the first one is free, but $100 a receiver is pretty steep since I have found a couple on craigslist for under $75. So is there any like buy 1 get 1 free or buy 2 get 1 free or anything like that?

Since it is $34.99 for the first 12 months after 12 months do they automatically just start charging you $57.99 or do they contact you and let you know the 12 months is almost up? Also if I get rid of DirectTV do I have to give the receivers and everything back?

I am sure I will have a few more questions over the next few days.

I'm not sure what the current deals on receivers are. You can probably find some more info about that (and a lot of other things) at dbstalk.com. Also note that each additional receiver costs $5/month.

I haven't gotten to the end of my 12 months yet, but I'm pretty sure they'll up the price, and you won't be able to get them to lower it again. The contracts are for two years, so you'll still be under another one year of contract with little to no bargaining power.

You do have to give all of the receivers back when you cancel.
