Folks,
This is my first post on the forums after much lurking. Great community and very informative forum. The reading I have done here helped me build my new SLI rig!
So speaking of I wanted to see what you guys think about a couple settings I'm showing in Everest.
So Everest is showing - PCI Express Controller > PCI-Ex2 port #3: In use @ x4.
My question is, is this correct based on my current config?
I am only running one PCI-E card (Leadtek 6600GT TDH) until the prices and availablity stabilize on 6800's.
When I assembled my computer the mobo (A8N SLI Deluxe) did indeed have the SLI switch set at "dual card" out of the box.
Even after reading the some of the posts here about this setting being inverted from the factory I flipped the switch to the "single card" position.
But...I did leave the BIOS setting at "slow" based on some posts I have read here about a bug in the BIOS re: performance of the vid card.
So for a single card running on a PCI-E x16 slot, is this reading correct? And if not, what steps do I need to follow to correct it?
Thanks in advance! Sorry - if I need to post more detailed info, please let me know.
