couple issues with my laptop i need help with

1) how do i disable the feature in xp that when the screen saver comes on it goes out to that screen where u have to select the user? Cause eerytime i go idle it goes to that screen and it crashes my computer evrytime and kicks me off aim

2) i am currently hooking up a desktop monitor in my laptops output and i went in the geforce4 settings to enable it in clone monitor or whatever so it'd work

my question is, how do i make it so the laptop screen doesnt show a picture... cause right now thats a complete waste... thanks!

1) Desktop -> Properties -> Screen Saver -> you should see an option for it there. I can't see it right now (on an XP box but on a domain, so the options are different).
2) Desktop -> Properties -> Settings -> Advanced -> Displays (this is a tab on ATI setups; I don't know about GeForce), click the button for the monitor you want to turn off.

#2 may not work, as I've only tried it with ATI cards. Good luck.

and i actually figured out #2 on my own...

one day the laptop screen just stopped comming on, lol

there is usually an option on the laptop like Fn-F5 that toggles the display between the LCD, and external monitor, or both.

darn its still going to that screen when the screensaver goes on

maybe i should disable it and just turn my monitor off?
