Couple fun L4D1 custom campaigns

Figured there'd be a lot of custom L4D1 maps too choose from by now but there's really only a handful of complete ones to choose from and most of them are lame.

But I did play through both of these campaigns and enjoyed them a lot:

Death Aboard

Suicide Blitz

Suicide Blitz is longer than Aboard and is like 3x smaller in file size somehow - Guess Aboard uses a lot of custom stuff.

Not sure how you would play these on dedicated servers, the server would probably have to have it installed too, right? I played them both on Lan with friends so we didn't have to worry about that.

Wonder if there's anything worth downloading for L4D2 or if it's too early to have good custom campaigns.

Well, You'd have to have friends and organize the game. Probably some servers that have them, would have to search by campaign and select the custom ones.

Death Aboard is pretty good fun, but I never got around to trying Suicide Blitz. It was usually an exercise in futility trying to get a game going among friends, because everyone had to go out and download the map, and then it was too late to play, etc.

The other problem was that most servers that had these installed were modded out the wazoo. And yes, the maps have to be installed server side.

BTW, it's not really the most FUN map ever, but if you're interested in getting better at L4D, Hunter Training is a must-download.
