He could get his job back and you will still be wrong.

Your willingness to gloss over dudes dishonesty with his employer says a lot about you.

your ability to focus on technical bullshit and not worry about the moral of the story says a lot about you.

so he just walked up and walked in? is that what the video shows? why was he there in the first place?

what does that matter? he entered the house then lied about it. he was fired for the lie not entering her house.

really its not that complex.

Technical bullshit?

Guy lies to his boss about entering the house, moral of the story is don't be a lying douchbag or you may get fired.

You can't talk about the video and what occurred without considering he lied about it. Life doesn't work like that.

he lied about doing the right thing. the whole point is that he did the right thing in that particular situation. he lied about something good, meaning he simply thought it would be an easier story to digest. nothing more. no big grand reason to lie, just that it seemed the easier route. big deal. the fact that he didnt know there was cameras justifies his actions even more. he clearly was just concerned for peoples safety- watch how he acts in the video.

No, you're not. He had no right to enter her house. He would have been ventilated had he done that shit in my house.

unless you were dying of heat stroke or someone else already shooting you because they hate you. so youre lying there, dying, and cant answer the door. but its ok nobody comes in to save you? youre so full of crap!

/facepalm

you gotta be trolling. you really can't be this stupid can you?

If there was clear and imminent danger he could enter. There was none, no probable cause either, no crime being committed where entering/action would be necessary to stop it.

Please explain how he is lawfully allowed to enter somebody's home without permission.

A door being open doesn't cut it. Now big signs of forcible entry...possibly. But that's only for police/fire/EMS, etc.

He was fired for lying during an official government investigation.

and what he lied about was actually doing the right thing. it just doesnt seem right in most situations, so he lied to protect himself. after he already protected this lady. so he lied, yes, but for an understandable reason. because he knew there would be many people just like these on this forum- judgmental as hell.

he was there because the homeowner was breaking multiple laws despite multiple warnings. when the inspector got there, he was also ignored and the placed smelled like rotting shit. and the front door was open. nothing to see there right? all seems normal to me! whatever

Entering somebody's residence WITHOUT PERMISSION, is NOT the right thing.

That is illegal, that can get you shot.

amurrica. Fuck yeah.

EXACTLY!

We value certain things very dearly in America. Property rights being one of the biggest, including government representatives entering WITHOUT PERMISSION.

It was so important, we made a freaking bill of rights to protect it.

There to serve a citation for not cutting the grass? Yea, SURE...come on in....

He got fired because he went outside of department policy then lied about it.

Sorry bud, you're not a cop anymore, you can't do whatever you want and lie your way out of it...

so that means i dont have to abide by property regulations? i can go tell the city of rockford to fuck them and fuck their $700 a day fines they are imposing on me because my tenant is a ghetto person? yes, now you guys know why im siding with the county on this story. some people are trash and deserve to lose their rights, just like this lady.

If someone takes a hard fall and your there . The right thing in america would seem to be to help them . Bad mopve . They will sue your ass. You get the proper people to help to avoid lawsuite. Ya I know how that sounds . But thats the way of things in america.
