Post this in PN, very good chance it turns into a shit on Israel thread.

No, it will probably turn into a "justification for the military aid afforded to Israel" thread, with one or two posters voicing objections.

which is only the proper response!! No other responses matter!!

There are a lot of money that non-governmental ogranizations donate to foreign countries. Just think of CARE, PEACE CORE, MISSIONARIES, etc. Also some wealthy americans do phillanthropy in some countries like shools in Africa (Think Oprah?). Lots of missionaries teach, give medical aid, or provide humanitarium aid in many different ways.

During the first gulf war some countries helped the effort financially.

The USA does not care much for foreign aid. Probably most foreign aid would be money for terrorists or for schooling of their own people at american universities.

Haha, leave it to you guys to complain about foreign aid... expenditures of which amount to about 0.14% of our GDP. You do realize that the US is one of the stingiest countries on foreign aid in the industrialized world, right?

Not really. Most of the rest of the industrialized world are EU countries, and most of their aid is for other European countries. Their aid is to themselves. They aren't exactly looking to reverse the centuries of destruction they inflicted onto the rest of the world through their generous colonialism.

Actually, the "aid" that is distributed within the EU is not counted nor has it ever been portrayed as foreign aid.

Of course, you already knew that.

Most foreign aid gets spent on stuff and services provided by US companies so it's not like we give away 100% of the face value of the aid. Plenty of US companies and workers benefit from US foreign aid.

Yes, it does. It also includes aid given to future members looking to join the EU Empire. Just a few years ago one of the largest recipient of foreign aid among all European donors was Poland.

European governments don't want to send money, doctors, and a future to developing countries in Asia, Africa, etc. They're more in the business of sending death, destruction, and misery.

Abd only right wing idiots would think that we just give money out freely.

Majority of foreign aid is in terms of money for US goods. Like here is a million dollars to XYZ country. XYZ can not take that money and run they have to spend it on approved goods from the US. Like John Deere, Caterpillar, etc... Its why republicans even when they had the white house, senate, and house of Rep. did not slash F.Aid as a lot of that goes to "red" states.
