Here's the deal. I play lots of CounterStrike and have many friends that do too. Its too hard to try and find a favorite server to play on, because it could be down 2 hours later. I'm looking for a program that would allow us to see what games are available and let me see where my friends/buddies are playing. Kinda like the interface that Tribes has. I've tried a version of GameSpy, (can't remember if it was Arcade or 3D), and it sucked big time. Any ideas and input about what you currently use would be great.

Well I always use Gamespy "3D" - not Gamespy Arcade...
3D should give the function you require...u can always use the built in method from HL/CS and use a custom filter to seek local server and games etc.
When I use Gamespy I just select and refresh my local (Hong Kong - onlinegame.com) favourite servers to see which is the best option - takes only a few seconds...
