CounterStrike not running. help.

After hearing so much about CounterStrike on OT, I decided to buy it today. I played some of the training sessions and was ready to play on the net. But the game program exit whenever I tried to do multiplayer. I am running win2k. I am sure someone here can help me. Thanks!

Basicly... it always tell me my executables are out of date and ask me to check for internet updates. I click ok and the game stops and I am back to windows.

Did you download the update to CS, to make it version 1.1? I had that error message before I did.

You probably want the CS retail update version, since you said you bought the game Counter-Strike. 🙂

You probably need the CS 1.1 patch....go to Counter-Strike.net to download it.....be sure to get the 1.1 retail patch, not the patch for the downloadable version.
