Counterstrike error - Bad surface extents 592/0 ..???

I just installed my new Radeon 32 LE (from newegg). I get this error 9 out of 10 times right b4 the map loads. Any ideas fellas? Do i need to do some opengl tweaking or something?

btw, i'm using:
-windows 98
-epox ep8kta2 mobo
-256 ram
