Is there anywhere that I can still download Counter Strike 1.6? I want to play with some friends who have it and I only have 1.5 and don't know where to look for 1.6...

If you sign up for mercury service at shacknews you can get it. Personally I'm too cheap so I'll just wait 🙂,
