Counter strike zero refresh rate

hi guys ,
Im using geforce 6800 oc force ware 77.72 driver. When i play counter strike i was stuck on 60 mhz refresh rate. I tried to force it to 85 refresh rate but it didnt help. Run fine in other games just cs zero unable to run in 85mhz refresh rate. Anyone know the way to fix it ? thanks

I have same problem with CS 1.6.

You can also force the refresh rate with Rivatuner, but it would require some explanation.

I used rivatuner to set refresh rates manually.

works with all the other games at all different resolutions.. but just not CS1.6

You CAN do it in Rivatuner, but maybe I'm doing it a different way than you are. I do it in the refresh rate overrider tab. (adapter -> low-level refresh rate settings -> refresh overrider) If width <= 1024 and height <= 768 then refresh = 85.

Grr.. it seems to be problem with CS1.6/steam... something with that program is over riding my settings.. odd...

just tried blend, and compat mode... same thing! stuck at 60...

even without using this, all the other games are working fine.. just cs1.6 is having issues.. quite odd.
