Counter-strike with Windows XP? Everytime I quit the game, my Windows XP just freezes. Its also happening to my friends computer also. Is anyone having this problem also? Is there a solution for this? Please let me know. Thanks

Have you tried running CS in Win9x emulation? If you haven't you can do this by right-clicking on the shortcut to CS, going to Properties, and the Compatibility tab. Under this, enable compatibility mode for Windows 98/ME, and also check "disable visual themes" at the bottom. Hit OK, and try it out. If this doesn't help, try switching the video mode from within CS from OpenGL to Direct3D or vice versa.

Works fine for me. A little earlier, I had a problem where Counter-Strike would freeze on the "Loading..." screen. I have since uninstalled and reinstalled, and I'm fragging away! Hope you get your problem fixed. Try downloading new drivers for your video card (and please tell us which one you are using).
