Counter-Strike Source lagg

Ok. I have a Radeon 9700 Pro. I have Athlon 64 2800+ and 768MB of PC2700 DDR ram. My problem is that I get a nice 60-80 FPS (sometimes lower, and without any action, in the 100s), but the problem is that it sometimes gets really jerky. The FPS still shows 60-80, but the gameplay will get jerky at times.

It is very annoying, and annoying that my friend who has a 9600 doesn't get this jerkiness.

I have cable, and my ping ranges from 30-70 in the servers that I play in.

BTW, I have tried all of these low fps configs, and nothing seems to help.

are you getting any choke?

Try net_graph 3 in the console

If so turn your rate to 9999

then you'll have to mess with your cm_cmdrate and your cl_updaterate.

Make sure as well that you have your internet connection THROUGH STEAM set at your right connection or it sets your confi parameters to the specified connection.

yeah be positive that under steam/settings your internet is correct as stated above....that will kill your latency. steam set mine back to 56k once and i just couldn't figure out what was wrong!!!😕

I tried cl_smooth 0 and m_filter 0 and it seemed to help the jerkiness. There might be a little here and there, but for the most part, it is just the basic lag in heavy gun battles that I get.
