Is it a driver issue? Here are the specifics of the computer:

MSI K8MM-V Socket 754 Motherboard
Athlon 64 3000+
40GB Western Digital hard drive
1024MB Corsair ValueRAM
BFG 6800GT OC AGP
420W Aspire PSU

I was thinking it may have something to do with the drivers on the video card. We are using the latest ones from nVidia, driver version 81.95.

Any help is appreciated, it just started doing this today a couple hours ago.

Sorry that I double posted... but I want to get answers as soon as possible, thanks!

Hmm, could be drivers, but as you use the latest ones, that's probably not the cause then...

PSU not powerful enough...? Do you have random reboots with other intensive stuff...? Other games maybe?

I'm having an issue with CS:S also, where it locks up pretty regularly. It rarely does not do it, but it will lock up after 20-30 minutes of gameplay. No issues with any other games, including HL2 & other Valve games. I figure I might dump the official NV ones (latest available, whatever rev those are) and use the XtremeG's.

i installed some new video drivers just a bit ago and it seemed to fix the problem. but now, we were just sitting here and the computer was doing nothing and it rebooted. could it be bad ram?

Could be lots of things... Check with different RAM modules, or take one out or so... Is it maybe an overheating problem?
