Yeah, the weapons/hands could use some work, but the textures/effects were definitely a step up.

There are a lot of other videos out there now that show a lot more of the normal gameplay and have other maps.

lol nah... just for fun. i just kick & ban 12 year-olds that talk too much. I don't have much competition going for myself as there are tons of kids with so much free time they mastered the frickin game, lol.

what was that? It looked like a pretty cool version of CS to me. New game, perhaps?

The video is rather short considering the size of it is 95MB.

Anyway, I don't see what's the big deal with the new CS from the video. Same old tired gameplay with fancy physics effects, nothing really special IMO.

the resolution is 1024x768. please try and make a video of that quality and length a smaller size.

tired gameplay? you realize cs laid the groundwork for every realistic online shooter out there today, right? and even with all these new, "better" games it still has more people playing online than any other out there. i think cs on the source engine is just what everyone needs. you get the same gameplay that has made hundreds of thousands of gamers addicted and you add in great graphics, better netcode, and a new engine.

Because it's not supposed to be CS2, it's supposed to be counter-strike ported over to the source (half-life 2) engine. So the gameplay will be the same with just updated graphics & of course the same physics in hl2. It's still the most widely played FPS game by a wide margin for a reason.

word. CS: Source will be kickass. wish i could beta test it, but don't wanna buy CZ or register for valve's 'cyber cafe program'. and new engine means hackfree for a while =D
