When I try and join a game it says my cd key is in use. But I rebooted, and reset my cable modem. What should I do? The odd thing is it works on the other machine in my network, just not on this one. Also is there anyway to change the cd key in the registry?

Did you allow any of you friends to borrow your Half-Life game and make a copy?

If not, then your CD key has been pirated. Contact Sierra's tech support for a new one.

There could be two reasons why, the current WON ID system requires that when you sign off another computer with the same cdkey, there must be a 5min period in between before that key will work on other computers, so you might've used it on ur other computer then on this, or WON is updateing all the WONID's and their junk, so in the process of changing everyones keys, someone probably god changed to ur old one before yours got changed. something like that :)

We had this problem at a lan one time....
The game would allow up to 8 people in a game that had the same cd key. After 8, it gave you the error. I guess that you have a cd key that many people use. anyways, just thought that was useful info
