But the thing is, if you ask 100 CS fans what they want you'll get 113 different answers. The important thing to know is that these people will never be happy but they'll bitch despite 300+ hours played. Valve went with the safe road here and did a very minor visual update, slight changes to the hud and hitboxes, but overall it's the same thing. It's changed enough that the die hards whine, but it's not different enough for others to think it "fresh" and worth playing for long.

After a few hours I'm already bored because I've played this before.

My first impression was, "wow, this looks very old, yet it's new."
 
It has finally resolved itself. I guess they fixed it in a patch, but this game still runs like shit. I'm dipping into 30FPS at some maps with net_graph 1 on. If I had net_graph 3 on then it gets even worse! So much FPS drop just for a few stats? wtf...

CS:S doesn't have this problem as much. 🙁
 
I don't know why but I am terrible at this game. I was amazing back from 1.0-1.6 etc.

For some reason when I aim straight ahead without moving, the guns do not shoot straight. There is some weird recoil stuff going on.

Btw, any Euros here play? PM me if so. I keep getting put on American servers with 150+ ping.

One other thing I've heard is that the sprays from the guns is also now random. In CS 1.6 and CS : S it wasn't random. So, you could spray and still aim properly.
 
Dunno, I find the guns are really really accurate but you budge an inch and it all goes to hell. Shooting while moving was nerfed hard.
 
Can I just say that playing this game using Competitive Matchmaking ranges from amazing to infuriating.

I was originally a double-gun when I started. Then I slowly got paired with lower rank people who are terrible, resulting in a ton of lost matches. Now I am down to 2-star because of this.

Oddly enough the only fun/good matches are the ones where I somehow get paired against gun-ranks or higher. The matches with 1-3 star people are just infuriating, boring, cannot abandon, etc.
 
yeah matchmaking is random. Some games I have a blast, others i literally ragequit because my entire team is made up of rambos who like to camp with the bomb and then rush T spawn when they're CTs. F'ing noobs. GO BACK TO CALL OF DUTY.

Also -- stay up too late and you start getting matched up with chinese guys who scream on the mic in chinese and you have to guess at what it means.

I've been extremely lucky in my matchmaking then. Never had a team of stupid people. Just wish the matchmaking was faster.
