Can any one who plays CS with this card tell me how to get my FPS above 100. I changed my Config.cfg file to 300 but it will not go passed 100 on the net_graph command or cl_showfps command. It was originally at 72 but I changed the Config.cfg and got it to 100. Another thing is that when I entered one server that showed your FPS it said that I was at 130 but the net_graph showed 30. This was at the screenshot of the CT on load up show I bet that when the screen changed to the game that my FPS would go up. Right? It's really no problem because I my picture is great but I just wanna know if there is a problem or if it can get better. Thanks for any help.

Oh yea my card is running at 275/275.
 
Did you disable SmoothVision...you know its enabled by default.
Correct me if I'm wrong...I don't have much knowledge about Radeons and CS.

Edit: Forget what I said, I guess someone beat me to it!
 
theres somethin in the AT faq's that address a CS/radeon prob i think, i forget the specifics and it may be totally unrelated, but give em a once over for the hell of it

hey thanks guys. now i know. man that sucks. but why did the server say that i was at 130 fps then? does cs just lock it at 100 but it really performs at higher fps. im at 1024*768 in opengl mode if that helps. i know its old.......but man that game is the SH1t!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
hey dude i have 8kha+ xp1700+ 256crucial ddr 80gb maxtor r8500le (250/275) and i run CS at 1600x1200 (opengl --DX works like poop) and its as smooth as it is at 1024x768... i still top out at 72fps tho...so the rig still has more juice to go :-D

the graphics are so good at that res 😀

d00d, if you stand facing a corner and don't move, you can get a couple thousand fps for a split second.
 
Truform is turned on by default, if you want to turn it off I believe its "ati_npatch 0" without the quotes.
 
Ok guys I believe that cs is locked at 100 and that makes me feel a whole lot better. Know I know my card is running at its best, but just to prove my point, the ip is 207.44.163.127:27015. It should be Texas Gun$lingers server and pay attention to the text that the load up screen displays.
