Counter-Strike and Catalyst3.2 OpenGL crashing bug

In CS with the Cat3.2 drivers, when I press esc to go to menu, then go back, then do that again, it freezes completely so I have to press the reset button on my computer. I am aware that this is a known bug, but I havn't seen a solution to it. Has one been found?

The way I fixed it was to put a GF4 in, that worked great

The current best solution to 'solve' the problem if you want to keep your board is to revert to the 3.1Cats. You can Alt+Tab out of the app and then kill it from the desktop, but that doesn't do you much good if you are trying to change settings etc.

Yes, and you are the xerosleep from IGN. Hey... are you the one that gave me insider for a while but then I couldn't keep it because of security issues? I left IGN boards as soon as it went insider only, I think. I prefer this place anyway, it's not full of little annoying kids like remember that guy... what was his name, golden_darko? A lot of people message me on Trillian while I'm playing so I always alt-tab out, but of course this bug prevents me from doing that because it crashes the game. After it crashes, nothing can get me back. Alt-tab doesnt do anything, and neither does the 3 finger salute.

So? It's a good game in my opinion, so I play it.

i went back to the 3.1 drivers, everything works fine now.

I play Hot Pursuit 2, though, and it crashes with everything other than cat3.2. Sad.

what you should do is when you want to exit out of a game press the windows key on your keyboard. From there ctrl alt delete the game. It works pretty well.

What I want to do is go out, then back in. I can close it just fine.
