Countdown was a review on Avivo?

Yes, page 6 is my fav. Thats the way it should be done.

If you meant the high quality AF, then you're right. That's great stuff - at a slight performance hit. Hopefully this will put an end to all of these AF issues. Assuming nV gets the hint, that is.

I haven't read it all yet, but HDR + AA does it for me, too.

Looks like a tie to me between the cards. ATI wins some; NVidia wins others. Overall NVidia wins with availability. Now if this causes prices to fall, we all win.

A very nice job on looking at de-interlacing, and I'm going to take a look at that HQV Benchmark DVD, might be nice to have around for $30. While both Purevideo and AVIVO look impressive, Purevideo MPEG decoding continues to shine, while AVIVO looks to do some catching up in the deinterlacing department.

I would have liked to have had them show the results of all 11 of the included tests however. Also, the descrepancy noted on page7 is actually not a discrepancy at all since the scoring is based in part on the time it takes to switch to film mode. The whole point of the test is to score objectively based on result rather than subjectively.

Nice job Anand! I'd love to see more of this kind of Video testing.

they should have done better on their site regarding that countdown...like the page changes itself or something, it was pretty crappy.
