The most that can happen tonight is government being split. We're not quite back to Republican rule yet.

The Republicans might be sniveling and greedy bastards, but unlike the Dems, they're not going to have the House, Senate, and White House. They're just going to get the House and narrow the gap in the Senate. But go ahead, continue on with your "But...but...Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuush!" and blame the Republican House to your heart's content.

You're insane if you'd work 80 hours a week for $70K.

i know someone who works about 80 hours a week for about 50k.

but he owns his own business (just getting started) but has potential to make a lot more.

what deadline? what results.

anyone that really expects anything to get done with one party in the house and one in the senate is fucking silly.

but i guess that could be a good thing right now.

Dems are still in charge. but they don't have full control. the next 2 years should be rather interesting.

Oh i'll work for it. 80 hours a week if needed. I just need a sweet tax cut to create my job.

Go ahead and work the 80. According to right wing talking points the only reason rich people make lots of money is because they work harder then poor people.

That 80 hrs should translate into 500K/year

That's why I gave up the long working hours. It wasn't getting me anywhere. I was getting good raises but in the end, I was getting sunshine blown up my ass and no big promotions or huge windfall was waiting for me.

It is about who you know, not what you know. GWB never "worked hard" a day in his life and his family bought him the White House.

you need to be good at kissing ass. no matter how good or bad you are you just need to know how to kiss ass.

Once upon a time, a hungry fox was roaming around here and there searching for food. Because of hunger, he was feeling weak and tired. Fortunately, he came to a garden where he saw a grape-vine laden with bunches of grapes they looked quite ripe and juicy.

The fox looked at the grapes with longing eyes and licked his chops. But the bunches were too high for him and he was feeling weak. So he sat down for a while to take some rest. On feeling refreshed, he jumped as high as he could, to get at the grapes. But he failed to reach them.

Then he again rested for some time and made another bold attempt, but was unlucky for the second time.

Forced to give up trying anymore, he just walked away and instead of accepting his failure, he remarked the grapes appeared to be ripe and juicy, but now I see them to be quite sour.

Well the GOP has been bellyaching for leadership and now they have it.

And when unemployment soars due to GOP policies, the only question is will they call the new homeless shelters Obamavilles or Boehnervilles?

The other interesting question will be the Tpartiers v mainstream GOP, we already know the mainstream GOP will not do any real spending cuts because it will be poltically unpopular, but the Tparty may screw even that pooch.

But my prediction, after 2008 the dems failed to improve much of anything, but come 2012, the people may be far more than just merely angry with the GOP.

The GOP is very good at inventing slogans, but good governance takes more than slogans, it requires the actual improved results the GOP has been clueless about.

But maybe Hayabussa has a point, my post may be democratic sour grapes, but by 2012, the whole GOP may be sour grapes. Time will tell.

I'm willing to let out enough rope... but if history proves well, that rope will be taught soon....:D
