Countdown to Facebook Usernames

Anybody else anxiously awaiting 12:01 EDT when we can finally choose a distinguishable username/URL for facebook? Its going be a mad rush to get the best names as quickly as possible.

Choose wisely, for they have hinted that you won't be able to change it anytime soon.

for other things, it's cool. But for facebook, I see the whole greatness about it is it's way to immediately identify everyone. I like it just the way it is. And granted, I've been all for the redesigns in the past, I like a little more freshness, especially how they've put all the extra things off the main page and profile. But putting a username on it? I don't hate it, feel very meh about it.

Probably will end up tagging along if all my friends do as well, otherwise I'll just keep my name.

As I understand it, it won't replace your real name anywhere. It'll just be an additional way to FIND you - either by searching or typing in the URL.

It looks like you can use first.last though, so it won't be so bad.
