Hi, i have a Sapphire Radeon 9100 128mb videocard.

i just got myself a stick of Arctic Silver Ceramique. Should i remove what is on the card and use this instead. which one is better?

but anyways, i just can't open it up... seem using thermal pad or something.

anyone tried it? and got a better result?

thanks

Im not exactly familiar with that card....but dont most 9100's use epoxy for the hsf? If you dont have two push pins holding the heatsink/fan on....that thing is epoxied onto the core.

If you do have two push pins....you basically pop them out. From there you have to gently pry up on the heatsink fan to break it loose from the thermal pad.

If it is epoxied on, well...lets not worry about that because your artic silver ceramique isnt going to hold the hsf onto it anymore. Youd need another epoxy like artic silver epoxy or artic alumina epoxy.
