Isn't the requirement (for a bar owner) that all patrons have valid ID in their possession?Originally posted by: bothered
The bouncer at a bar I tried to go to wouldn't let me in...he said it was because my license is expired by more than 30 days. Was he just BSing me, or is that a legitimate reason?
ya, I intended to do it a couple days ago...but the friggin DMV closed early. Plus I'm never actually gonna get pulled over!Originally posted by: her209

The answer is "YES".
An expired DL is not valid.
You're still driving on that License? If you get in an accident, your insurance company can legally abandon you.
They usually send you a notice way in advance of it expiring.Originally posted by: bothered

Not all licenses expire on your birthday. When I got my permit in march they guy asked me if I wanted to have it expire on my birth day...loosing 9 months or have it expire in march I choose march it happends to alot of ppl if you dont get you license on your birth day or get your permit.
