so i saw 28 days later..

made me think of dawn of the dead.. do you really think zombies could take over the world? now, i understand there would be billions of dead roaming the earth, but, zombies in the classic sence are super slow braindead, well, zombies that just wander about looking for an alive person to munch on. now, all you need to do is just conk them in the head or shoot them in the head and they are down for good. while it might take a few years of total lock down to get the probelm under control i would think the army and private citizens, as long as they go into a 24hour watch mode would be able to take out a bunch of peopel walking around.

Hell yes it would be.

That & vampire hunting. I'd go get old crappy silverware from goodwill, melt it down, & start reloading my own shotgun shells. That & high powered UV LED flashlight.

I've been watching too much Blade.

Well, it would depend really. If there weren't many people left, I guess they could. But if it was like night of the living dead, and it was just everyone's still alive, they wouldn't stand a chance.

Crystal Meth is bad for you. Stop huffing paint fumes. Put the crackpipe down. Jack Daniels is NOT the breakfast of champions.

Step away from the keyboard.

first you need a terminal and highly communicable pathogen that rapidly infects the host and turns the victim into a psychotic bloodthirsty
cannibal. the virus would need to cause some type of brain atrophy and manifest an insatiable lust for human flesh in the person.

if such an improbable virus could be created - i don't think it could evolve naturally - then you could look to the 1918 influenze epidemic, the
black death of the 14th century, and even sars as precedents. the film's premise is plausible - assuming such a virus could ever exist - because
the virus would create an infected host who is very aggresive. ebola is another good example of a highly contagious disease that kills rapidly,
but it doesn't make the host aggresive.

Thats what those people thought when they holed themselves up in a mall. Eventually thousands of zombies kept coming back to the mall and eventually bit the one guy on the leg. It was all down hill form there.

Zombies are relentless, you can't sleep. They just keep coming.

Do you suppose a zombie ever gets full? I mean you see them eating arms and legs and livers and such, but I mean do they consider that a snack or is that pretty much a full meal for them? And if they do keep eating, where does all that food go? You never see many fat zombies.

They should make Carmageddon into a movie - now that's something I can believe in.

Check out Death Race 2000, a 1975 movie with Sylvester Stallone and David Carridine. Not sure if it's exactly like the game (because I haven't played the game, just read reviews), but the movie is about an across the nation race where participants get points for hitting and killing civilians.

People would assume it was not their responsibility, until it was too late. I doubt they would overrun the earth, probably just 1 continent. Unless it is not an outbreak, but all the dead just rose from the grave everywhere.

You never see many fat zombies.

i saw that movie. very interesting. zombies could not take over the world.
1) they are stupid
2) they can't organize
3) they have no projectile weapons

a viral epidemic like in the movie is totally possible. but in the movie only great britain was affected.
if the virus were airborne and had a longer incubation time, the world would be frakked.

It seems this movie is losely based on some earlier movies and a book.

It seems to have elements of The Omega Man, The Last Man on Earth and the story I Am Legend by Richard Matheson.

Blade owns! :D

Which Blade series do you like better?

#1 is good, but #2 has more fighting scenes.
