Could you shelter in place for a month?

Assuming some plague, virus, riot, zombie infestation, alien invasion, etc. happened and you were ordered immediately to shelter in place at your home for 30 days, would you be able to survive?

You cannot leave your house, nor could you have anything delivered to you. But, you would still have access to all utilities, such as water, gas, telephone, electricity, and internet.

i think the question is more, 'who wouldn't be able to survive'

with minimal activity levels and water, many people could survive 30 days without food (admittedly in very poor shape)

so if you have ANY food in your house at all, you're likely to eek enough calories out to last 30 days if absolutely required

With all utilities in tact as well? Yea.. Easily. Diet would probably get pretty dull, as I don't keep that much variety on hand but I could do it.

A full month? Not comfortably. Our freezer and pantry are pretty well stocked, so we could probably survive in minimum rations...

That would depend on when I last refiled my medications... Other than that yes and I would even have food for the entire time although by the end it would be mainly oil and rice...

With all utilities? Hellz yeah.

(looks at 75+ lbs of flour)

Don't think I would obey however. We would be hoofing it to the hills, and out of the city.

Misjudged the theme a first read.
Then wondered the same but instead with living on the street, penniless, and homeless.
Could you survive a month?

Technically I probably could. I'd probably run out of human food in 1-2 weeks, but I have pets, so if I got desperate I could eat their food if need be.

I just got some strawberry-flavored protein powder that I can mix in with my Soylent supply, so yeah, I guess I'm good for a month.

As long as Netflix is working :D

Many of us do that now! There are a few people here who live in their bed rooms without ever leaving. :)

Since we moved into town i will say no.

When we lived in the country we would go 2-3 weeks at times without any fuss. We would keep our freezer full of meat, the pantry full of cans etc. Same with TP and other stuff.

now? we maybe keep 1/4th of what we used to. we might be able to stretch it out. We do still have about 50 packages of ramen..but it wouldn't be fun.

I think rice and beans would pull us through and I certainly have enough materials to make the premises pretty secure.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I would run out of beer.

Otherwise it would be an opportunity to get the freezer empty enough to defrost it.
