Could you deliver your baby?

Not my teacher but a teacher at my school.

This morning his wife(I assume his wife) went into labor. However things happened to quick and they were not able to make it to the hospital. In fact they didn't make it out the front door. So instead he delivered his baby in his bathroom!

I would be way to scared to do it, but I suppose if there was no other option I would have to.

I really don't know if I could, but I do know I would not want to do it in any school bathroom I've ever been in.

I'd be really scared but if I had too, I would rather it be me than a stranger.

Yeah. No problem. I damn near didn't make it to the hospital with kid #2. If there would have been a kid #3, I probably wouldn't have bothered to even go to the hospital. #2 came so fast, I doubt we'd make it with any others.

No problem (assuming no complications); though getting the wife and baby to the hospital quickly thereafter would be high on the to-do list. I assisted with the delivery of our fourth which was a pretty cool way to experience the delivery of our last child.

With each of our kids I've kept a sterile kit of supplies specific to labor/delivery in the event we didn't make it to the hospital in time.

Matter of fact, I did. the obstetrician entered the room moments afterward, and promptly burst into tears...she said it was the most beautiful site she'd seen---I was cradling and rocking our baby daughter, she was pink and crying and had perfect apgar, and I was telling my wife "see our darling little doll?"
Fortunately wife and I both have medical training, but the nurses on the floor were less than helpful. "You are a prime-ip (first full term pregnancy), so it'll be days before you deliver. We'll call the doctor this afternoon..." they told my wife when she said "its coming soon."
Ignorant arrogant twits, too. NEVER quote the book. LISTEN to the patient! The PATIENT is the best source fof information about the PATIENT! NOT what they taught you in schol of how it SHOULD be..

Rant over, was an incredible moment. And then had the good luck to fortunately break my leg in two places a few months later, thereby bonding extremely closely to her over the 3 months I hobbled/hopped in S-leg cast.
