I almost always drink cheap beer, because the only time I really drink any quantity of beer is during the Summer when it's brutally hot, that's when cheap iced down beer sounds really appealing to me.

If the beer is on ice and its over 100F, hell lets just say over 90F, 12 in 1.5 hours would be a breeze, a little concentration could put it under an hour. Under an hour for sure if the beer is in bottles.

Well, I'm over 10 [EDIT: Bottles] within the past two hours. That's a steady pace for me, just some after work beers. If I were physically trying to drink 12 beer as fast as I could...I could probably do it in an hour, but I might end up throwing up from just the amount of liquid alone. Though a beer every 5 minutes may be pushing my limits more than I'm thinking, so I'll stick with 12 @ 2 hours just to be safe.

The taste gets to me around the 3rd one, so I dunno maybe in 6 hrs. I'd rather just drink something else with alcohol in it.

I don't know how anyone can say they've pounded 12 beers in an hour. The sheer volume alone seems impossible for anyone who isn't a competitive eater type.

Well, I'm 23 and in the military, so binge drinking is somewhat of a sport. As mentioned previously, I'm near or past a dozen in two hours and I have to write an exam tomorrow. I'll wake up with minimal hangover.

To put a perspective on the matters, I've officially joined the "Century Club," 100 shots of beer in 100 minutes (that's 5% Alexander Keiths).

I'm not proud.

That's a little over 8 beers in a little less than two hours. That's not hard.

And I'm not questioning a person's tolerance for alchohol on the matter. I'm just questioning the physical ability to drink more than a gallon of anything in an hour. I can blast through the first 6-7 beers in a 12 pack in less than an hour no problem. I've done a six-pack in a half hour on many occasions. But that's when things start to slow down. Not because I'm drunk or anything... I'm just so bloated and full I can't keep the pace up.

2 hours with a little effort and several trips to the pisser, but, if it's Yuengling, why would I want to do that? If it's decent beer I like to sit back and enjoy it.

Who voted 1 hour? No way can people do 12 cans in 1 hour, maybe they misread as 6 cans like KT said.

Also I realize it isn't a huge challenge for anyone who drinks regularly, or at least it shouldn't be.

Oh and they are 12 oz can.

If they are 12oz cans then that is easy, think the most amount of beer ive consumed in one evening is about 12 18oz cans and that took roughly 4 hours.

in college as i said i could do 12 in an hour without even thinking about it. we used to do 2 man case races and the winners would always finish in under 45 min

12 beers is under 1 gallon, shitty beer like keystone lite/ bud/coores/ whatever is basically water, 3-4% alch. its really not that difficult

im pretty sure i could do it now if i wanted to id just be much drunker at the end of it.

One hour no problem, but I don't think I would want to do that again. I drank three pitchers in 30 minutes once, felt like shit all night, now that I losing my youth I don't think I'll be doing that again.

I assume these are the small american cans (12oz, 330ml?)

Id say about 2 1/2 hours on an empty stomach, maybe an hour longer if ive eaten. Ive drunk more than that before leaving to a nightclub before, its not that big of a deal.

I could drink 12 bottles of Heineken in two hours. Wouldn't touch the cheap stuff.

Who in here can drink 12 bottles of Chimay Blue, and in what time? :p
I had four in about 5 hours one year at my in-law's xmas party...my MIL knows I love them and has a handy stash every time there's a get together at their place, which is a few times a year. My brother in law kept bringing me new ones, I booted and passed out by 8:30, started drinking at like 1.

12 cans, x 12 oz = 144 oz.

With a beer funnel, it wouldn't be too hard to do this in an hour assuming you had prep beforehand (drinking a lot of water for 4-5 hours beforehand to loosen up your stomach). I voted 2 hours assuming casual drinking without prep.

You should, it'd make you feel your life is better.

It's true. I'm not a regular drinker but I'll have a few drinks once in a while. I don't do it to get drunk (actually against my beliefs to get drunk) but let's just say after a few shots or a little too much wine, life is good. :p

It would be more a problem consuming 3+ litres of liquid, can I have 500ml of whisky instead?

No way. I would get sick from just drinking so much fluid, even spread out over six hours. Even if it was 12 cans of a non-alcoholic drink.

I usually have between one and three beers if I drink at all, spread out over several hours. Three is my limit.
