Could we get a "how much?" thread?

I don't know if it is against the rules or not, considering it is for people to sell without prices, but if we could have one thread perhaps where people can ask what they should sell their hardware for I don't see the harm. I know that generally people can just go do some research, but for instance, i'm thinking of selling my 2.8 Northwood P4, but prices on ebay are all over the place.

Mods - sorry if this thread is inappropriate, i didn't see any explicit rule against it and I really don't see the harm. I understand that a million "how much" threads would be a massive pain, but if it were centralized, it wouldn't get in the way.

Maybe you should reword the question, like this "I'm interested in buying a 2.8 blah blah blah, is $1,000 a good price?"

the point wasn't actually to get a price for it (though thanks guys) - it was to suggest that a thread like that wouldn't really be so terrible - if it was centralized

yes, please... let's all play nice and stick to the topic. Perhaps I should make a poll.

Well, pricechecking is against the rules here, so I don't think the mods will go for a thread devoted entirely to pricechecking.

True, but I believe that is because of the fear of being overrun with pricechecking threads. If they were in one thread, what's the harm?
