I'm going to pick up a GS500 motorcycle saturday... but; it needs to fit inside of a 99 (maybe 2000) dodge grand caravan... Can someone measure the height and depth of the back for me?

Google tells me plenty about interior volume; but no actual dimensions...

Thanks!

it's not local... it's 4 hours away. milage will be a killer in this one if I have to rent a van.

I *think* it will fit... from the last time I used the minivan to move my stuff... but I really can't remember.

how will you get it in and out of your van?

i dont think i could fit my Ninja in the back of my families honda oddysey. Never tried though.

why dont you ride the bike back?

I can't ride it back because
1) one of the possible bikes need tires.
2) I haven't seen them yet so no insurance
3) I only have my cycle learners so I can't ride on highways.

I *think* it will fit. The bike is 42 inches tall... It seems like that van had that much room.

40" of headroom i would assume means from seat to roof. im almost positive no van is only 40" tall in the back. thats like a 3' 8". but i may be wrong.

plus you could always lean it over on a side with towels etc covering it

I was planning on putting it on it's centerstand; then tying it town (probably to the metal braces that the seats attach to... if they'll hold two or three 400lb mc'ds eating women it should hold down my measly motorcycle)

anyone know how uhaul charges for trailers? do they do milage (with some sort of axle-attached device or something?)

if that's how tall it is, it'll fit with ease.

Armitron - I'd measure ours, but my wife has it at work. If you take out both seats, there should be way more than enough room.
