I currently have a FIC SD11 for my Athlon 700. They have corrected the problems with maxtor HD's with the last bios, but I will forever have problems with my geforce card and this board. After reading the advice on this forum I had narrowed my search for a new slot a board to the following:
MSI K7 pro
Abit KA7
Asus K7V
As a newbie at mobo install, I fear the MSI - many techs say documentation is thin. Many here put the bad mouth on Abit as to getting a good one right off the bat. Had narrowed my choice down to the Asus, but another tech review related that they could not get any sound blaster card to work correctly with it.
I could use some suggestions/advice.
