Could this be video card related?

My problems started with my old machine. When waking the system up, the machine would start up but no video. The monitor would not wake up and I had to reboot. This didn't happen all the time and every time I thought it was cured, it would return. So, I replaced the power supply and the memory. Didn't fix it.

I then built a new system using only the cpu (Q6600) and video card (8800GT) from the original old system. Everything else is new. Got a P5Q-E with 4gig 1066 DDR2. The power supply is a Corsair TX750. Even the hard drive is new.

So I did the rebuild and loaded everything and although the system has been running a few weeks, I still have wake up issues. So far they had been different than before but the last two times the system went to sleep, upon wake up, the video did not return.

As every part is new or has been changed, the only thing left is the CPU or the video card.

Could the machine not waking properly be a sign of a bad video card?
