I'm currently downloading 3 Mandrake CD ISO simutaniously, and my computer is reporting that I'm getting 267 KB/sec of data.

Disk 1 - total remain time 1 hour & 19 min.
Disk 2 - total remain time 2 hour & 23 min.
Disk 3 - total remain time 2 hour & 20 min.

The fastest I ever got occasionally on this Shaw cable connection was around 150 KB/sec.
 
Sure it's possible. I have achieved some ridiculously fast speeds with my cable connection (>1.5MBps) on occasion.
