While playing HL2 I get this error message while the game freezes:

"0x241c9c17" referenced memory at "0x00d50cc0". The memory could not be "read".

Getting new ram would fix this?

Thank guys,

I had simular errors, with mismatched RAM Brands running in Daul Channel, got them replaced with Same brand Ram and the errors went away.

are you running one or two sticks of memory. if two, try running just one, then alternating. As Pentium Guy said, try re-seating your memory first. Might be loose connection (if you're lucky). If you still get memory errors after re-seating and rotating the sticks, then likely looking at faulty memory modules (could have resulted from overheating, power spike, improper voltage setting, ect.)

good luck
